“Babygirl” is a photographic series about the power dynamics of contemporary heterosexual relationships. The work is built around a hybrid object designed by the artist, combining elements of a BabyBjörn carrier and a body sex swing. Bringing these two objects together draws attention to the fetishization of the infantilization of women and the sexualization of their submissiveness. The series asks how dependence functions within intimate relationships and where emotional reliance on a partner begins to replace personal agency.
