Radical Empathy, a project born out of conversations between Pavić, Zelenović and Gačanin, about femininities abstracted from the real into a digital world, is realized in the form of an editorial, published in Clast Magazine 's 7th print issue. Inspired by characters from Alien: Resurrection, the hybrid, cloned version of Ripley (Ripley 8) played by Sigourney Weaver and the android Annalee Call played by Winona Ryder, Gačanin and Pavić transpose onto their own bodies the aesthetics of feminized robots and AI interfaces. The relationship between the two is a study in the capacity to connect on a human level while both experience the lack of being human. Their bond grows from this, neither fully human, one a human-alien clone, the other an android, a machine. To be able to care for each other beyond their species, their origins, is an act of radical empathy.
